This blog is all about rusty old crap that I find lying around. Not sure why I like this sort of thing. Partly it's the sense of nostalgia, remembering something that was once new and brilliant, maybe state-of-the-art technology from years gone by, or something that represents the pride and joy or effort of its creator. Partly it's because I hate the idea that beauty = flawless. Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder, and while many people do like flawless, I just happen to like rust.

Anyway, on with the crap...

I found this weird thing at the foot of Brean Down near Bristol.  There are the remains of a military fort at the top of the cliffs but I can't see any connection between this rusty structure that the fort.  Nor can I see any pipes nearby.  So I still have absolutely no idea what it is.

Next time I go there, I'll take a closer look and see if I can find a name plate on it.

Taken on a Nokia 6700s phone.
